Travelling to Cheval Phoenix House
Cheval Phoenix House is located only a few minutes’ walk from Sloane Square, London SW1X 9AE.
By Car: Chelsea is in the “congestion charging zone”, an area of the city where a road toll applies for private cars entering the zone on weekdays. You can register on the Transport for London website for auto-pay, to make one-off payments and for further information.
By Taxi: There is a taxi rank just off Sloane Square, but you can catch a taxi from the streets of Chelsea (there are usually plenty parked up). Hold your arm out at the side of the road to attract a taxi driver’s attention.
Underground Train: Sloane Square Underground is in the centre of Chelsea. From here, you can easily walk to most of the key destinations across the district. As London’s transport system is now paperless, you can purchase an “Oyster Card” (a travel card that can be topped up regularly), or you can simply present your contactless credit or debit card at the Underground station barriers and access the transport as you wish.
The Underground station is very straight-forward to use, however, it can be very busy so be sure to plan your journey and understand your route map before you set off. The Transport for London website is best for this.
By National Rail: The closest National Rail Station to Chelsea is Victoria, where you can catch trains to destinations across the South of England. To travel to the north of the country, you can get an Underground train to Kings Cross St. Pancreas, Liverpool Street, Euston and Paddington Station.
By Bus: Several buses travel through Sloane Square and towards Kings Road, north to Hyde Park, south to Battersea and east to Victoria Train and Coach Station. You’ll find route maps at the bus stops indicating which number bus you’ll need to take for your journey; London buses are usually very frequent, and you shouldn’t need to wait more than 10 minutes for your next bus.
Most of the parking available in Chelsea is street-located and metered, you can also find an NCP car park at Cadogan Place and Victoria.
